Su'cuy Reader,
Quick clarification about Etsy’s updated rules for 3D printed items:
If you’re selling raw 3D prints of my designs on Etsy - as in, unmodified prints straight from the printer - those listings are not allowed under Etsy’s current Creativity Standard (as of June 10, 2025). Even if a previous copyright claim was retracted, that only clears your record; it does not give permission to relist raw prints.
However, if you significantly modify the prints (such as sanding, painting, or turning the item into part of a finished artwork or service), Etsy’s enforcement may treat those listings differently. The rules aren’t totally clear for service-based or art-transformed prints, and enforcement can vary.
The safest route:
- Don’t list raw 3D prints of my models on Etsy.
- If you’re offering custom or significantly altered versions as part of a service, reach out to Etsy Support or check the latest guidance to confirm compliance.
Thanks for staying on top of the changes - if you have questions about what counts as a “service” or modified print, just reply to this email.
