Etsy quietly revised its Creativity Standard on 10 June 2025. The new rule says every 3D printed product listed on Etsy “must be produced based on a seller’s original design.” In short:

• Files purchased from another designer - even with prior commercial rights - can no longer be used for items sold on Etsy.
• Listings that don’t meet the new rule risk DMCA takedowns and shop strikes.

What this means for you...​
If you currently offer 3D prints based on my models (or any models that you did not design or create, i.e. models from a Patreon membership) those listings must stay inactive or be removed to stay compliant. Leaving them up could trigger Etsy’s automated enforcement.

Need a strike cleared?​
If you’ve already been hit with a DMCA notice tied to my designs and the listing is now down, reply to this email with your shop name. A retraction can be filed so the strike disappears from your record.

Moving forward​
I encourage you to focus on showcasing prints of your own original designs. I’m happy to send you 3D modeling resources - and if enough makers reply “CLASS,” I’ll consider launching a live Blender workshop.
